The "Jean Nouvel" exhibition at the Centre Pompidou showed no models, only images. The catalog, in turn, had to be more than a catalog: it had to meet the challenge posed by any book devoted to architecture, namely a problem of scale, since architecture is a mass art, and the book forces us to be miniature. As a result, the book was divided into chapters, 16-page sections that were as autonomous as possible, each with its own identity.
